Game created with Godot 4 v4.1.1 for Godot Wild Jam #63.  Theme: Cats!

My first ever published game made with Godot and my first ever Game Jam. (Learned a lot!)

Simple platformer were you're a cat looking for sushi.

Use spacebar to jump and avoid obstacles (Double-jump on walls!). You turn around automatically when bumping into walls.

Reach the red flag to finish the level.

Try to score the most points across three levels. Each level introduces new mechanics or objects.

Made using assets from Kenney.nl and Caz Creates Games (Thanks!)

Everything is fine, except the transition between levels or death. I've never seen a white outline!

Thanks for the feedback! Will work on those transitions :)

it's a simple concept, but love how cat walks automatically and enjoyed exploring the map. I wish it was a open world, and have lots of routes and things to explore on.

Thanks for the comment! Any recommendations on a good level design tutorial? At some point... I just didn't know what to add to each level ;P

dunno, maybe search for metroidvania games.

There's some really good GDC talks about that on youtube, specifically "Level Design in a Day: A Series of First Steps - Overcoming the Digital Blank Page"

Thanks! Will check it out!

Nice work on this  platformer! It's awesome to see one of my assets used as the main character! :D Keep up the good work!

Thanks! And double thanks for the incredible cat sprite :) Happy you liked how I used it.

Nice game, I like the mechanics. But it's very short (only 2 levels)

Thanks for the good words. Might add extra levels and extra mechanics in the future.... there's only so much one can do as a first game for a Jam ;)

I had a fantastic time playing this game! I made an engaging video and a detailed review. Your subscription to my YouTube channel would be greatly appreciated!

Wow! Thanks for the review! Happy you liked playing it. Nice catch on the 5-lives thing... being a cat it should've been 9, but it seem to much.
